I did some still life photos today - just trying to have a little fun :) Here's the first one, I still have to go through the others. Trying to practice with the lighting. What do you think?

You know, the lighting of this shot is actually fantastic. You've managed to get the lighting right to make the container (or whatever it is) you've got the water and dice in seem a lot like ice. I like that, it's a nice effect. Would look quite interesting if you get this same lighting again but after placing the container into a freezer first and bringing into slow heat so the surface forms small water bubbles all over it. That would look amazing I think. Anyway, good job. I'm loving your experiments and they just keep getting better and better. I hope you keep up with them. Love the blue here and the slight reflection too. Excellent shot. :)

Thank you very much! I had never thought of the freezer - so many things to learn! I have to try it, but I won't have the camera ALL WEEK - I lent it to my mother who left for Argentina. I'm writing down all the ideas I come across, I'll have a lot of catching up to do!
